The PM Youth Chromebook Scheme plans to give students 500,000 refurbished Chromebooks and internet devices over two years. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif launched it in Islamabad.
Launch and target
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif handed devices to high-performing Class 9 students and to seminary students at the launch. The target is 500,000 devices over two years.
Who can register
The first phase is open to high-performing Class 9 (SSC-I) students in Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. Selection uses the 2026 annual examination results. Only public-sector school students can apply, and private school students are excluded.
How to register
Registration runs on the portal at pmychromebooks.ibcc.edu.pk, run by the Inter Board Committee of Chairmen. Students select their educational board, then enter a B-Form, CNIC, roll number or registration number, without dashes or special characters.
A student whose record is wrong or missing should contact the board or school. Deadlines differ by board, and each board's notice gives its own date.

The portal carries the device models, specifications and any payment terms.
